TERMS & CONDITIONS

For orders to the EU, all prices are stated including VAT and excluding shipping charges. Our prices are subject to change if our suppliers change their prices, or if VAT or other charges change. Such changes will not be applied retroactively to already accepted orders. If you would like your order to be delivered outside the EU or Norway, please note that local taxes or customs charges may apply. Any such fees will be at the customer's charge. All stated delivery times are to be considered approximate. Delivery times stated as a number of days refer to business days, and weekends will come in addition. Delivery times are subject to change without notice. ExtraOptical AS complies with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act. All customers receive a cancellation form attached to the email confirming that the order has been sent. If you exercise your right to cancel, you are responsible for return shipping charges and the risk of transportation. When we have received the undamaged goods, we refund the amount you paid within 10-14 business days. If the goods are returned with damages that reduce their value, we reserve the right to deduct an amount corresponding to the value reduction from the refund.

Note: When you order glasses and lenses that are made to your prescription, your right to cancel pursuant to the Norwegian Cancellation Act does not apply (see The Cancellation Act, Section 22: Exceptions to the right to cancel). It is therefore worth mentioning that ExtraOptical voluntarily offers our customers the right to cancel, even though this right is not protected by the Cancellation Act in this case.

Please note that images may not accurately represent the true appearance of a product, and that text errors or typos may occur. This might imply our inability to deliver according to information provided in our online store, in our marketing materials, or otherwise.

RETURN POLICY

We will always strive to ensure 100% satisfaction. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your eyewear you may return the product within 30 days with no questions asked. We will of course give you a full refund. You may of course open the package, which gives you the opportunity to try out the eyeglasses before you eventually decide to return them. We require that the glasses must be as new and in its original packaging along with the delivery note. We always advice our customers to order glasses based on a new prescription. (No older than 2 years) However, if you have ordered glasses based on an old prescription your vision may have changed. It is therefor advisable that you visit an optician to get your new glasses checked against your current prescription. Also if you have a new prescription your eyes might need a little time to adjust to the new lenses. We recommend that you wear your new glasses for a week to allow your eyes to adjust. Allowing this time will enable you to conclude on whether you have purchased glasses with the correct strength. The legal guarantee is valid for a period of two years throughout the EU. The legal guarantee covers any defects presumed to have existed at the time of delivery and which become apparent within a period of two years.

PAYMENT

ExtraOptical accepts most credit-/debit cards for payments. Card payment is a safe and easy way to shop online. You will be asked to enter your card number, the verification code (CVV2) and the expiry date. To ensure safe transactions ExtraOptical has a cooperation with Bambora, which is an authorized payment provider. Your card number will be sent through an encrypted connection directly to your bank. All communication will be between you and your bank, ExtraOptical does not have access to any information regarding the card or the bank. Credit card information is processed according to the interantional security standard PCI DSS. Kindly notice that your money won't be taken from your card before the order has been sent, the amount will only be reserved on your card. In case of a return, the amount will be transferred back to the same card number which was used for the order. This will normally take 2-5 business days. No additional fee will be taken for card payments.

FREIGHT AND DELIVERY

For your convinence we have free shipping on all orders above 60$. So no matter how many pair of eyeglasses you order, or where in the world you are located, the shipment is absolutely free on these orders. Orders with a total basket size lower that 60$ will have a total shipping fee of 7$, to reflect the cost of sending your order home to you A normal delivery period is 6-12 days with slight variations according to where you live. The eyeglasses will be delivered to your mailbox. If the shipment is too large, you may have to pick it up at the nearest post office. As a customer you are constantly informed of the status of your order and how far the delivery has come. Some extra delivery time will be required if you want yor order delivered outside Europe. Also some extra delivery time during holiday seasons.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal data that you provide when you purchase glasses or visit the Extra Optical website is processed in compliance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act. The Act states that you must consent to the processing and storage of your personal data in our database. The data you provide is for Extra Optical's administrative use. By placing an order with Extra Optical, you confirm your consent. The information is used so that when you purchase from us, we are able to fulfill our obligations to you, as well as for information and marketing purposes.

Extra Optical will never allow a third party to use your personal data for marketing purposes. You have the right to demand access to the personal data we have registered about you. If the data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you may demand that it is corrected or deleted. At any time, you can notify us in writing that you do not want to receive our newsletter, SMS, or other direct marketing with our latest offers.

1. Who is the processor?
Extra Optical AS, represented by Marketing Manager Ole Langaunet, is responsible for the processing of all personal data within the company.

2. What is the purpose?
Extra Optical collects two types of personal data; user related and vision-related. User related data includes name, address, phone number, and email address. This data is collected and stored so that we can ship your orders to you, and so that we can communicate with you if we have questions about your order. If you have given your consent, your email address and phone number may also be used for marketing purposes. Vision related data is only used for manufacturing purposes, in order to customize glasses or contact lenses according to your needs.

3. What is the legal basis?
We collect your personal data in compliance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act, Section 8, and process it in compliance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act, Section 11.

4. Which personal data are processed?
First name – Your first name as indicated at the time of ordering.
Last name – Your last name as indicated at the time of ordering.
Street address – Your street address as indicated at the time of ordering.
Postal address – Your city and zip code as indicated at the time of ordering.
Phone number – Your phone number as indicated at the time of ordering.
Email address – Your email address as indicated at the time of ordering.
Prescription values – Your prescription values as indicated on your prescription.

5. From which sources is data obtained?
Extra Optical collects personal data in two different ways; directly from you as a customer, and via Klarna. For faster checkout when your order, you may use Klarna Checkout. In this case, if you have already used this service, Klarna will have stored personal data about you which is matched to your email address and zip code.

6. Is the provision of data voluntary?
In order to customize your glasses, and in order to ship them to you, we must collect your personal data. However, you may request that we erase your data once your order has been delivered.

7. Will the data be disclosed to third parties?
Extra Optical tries, to the greatest possible extent, not to share your personal data with others. In order to ship your orders to you, we need to exchange your personal data with our logistics partners (Posten and Consignor).

8. How is the data erased and archived?
All personal data is stored on our servers via ACS, and on no other external sources. If you want us to erase your personal data, it will be erased from our servers (including backup servers). Please note that if you request that your personal data be erased, we will not be able to retrieve it again should you wish so.

9. Which rights does the data subject have, and which country's legislation applies?
Extra Optical is a Norwegian company, and the collection and processing of your personal data complies with Norwegian law (the Personal Data Act). Under this Act, you always have access to the data we have stored about you, and at any time, you may request that we correct or erase incomplete or inaccurate data, or that we erase all the data we have stored about you after delivery of your order (see point 11 for contact information regarding this).

10. How is the data secured?
The company stores all personal data on servers that comply with strict security standards regarding online access as well as physical security. Operating system patches and firmware updates are continuously installed to maintain security in the operating environment. The company has full knowledge of which personal data is stored about each individual customer, and where the data is stored. Any transfer of personal data on the Internet takes place over the secure protocol HTTPS.
